I. Love. Fall Out Boy. I will readily shout this from the rooftops. It's been a three-plus-year love affair. You just can't beat 'em. You can say they suck, that they sold out, that they peaked at Take This to Your Grave but in my opinion, they have nowhere to go but up. Every album is like a new piece to the puzzle. The sound gets richer, fuller, Patrick Stump's vocals are more powerful. They're always growing, evolving and not so much changing as much as finding their place in music.
Whenever I've had a crappy breakup, or lost a friend, I pull them up on iTunes and belt along with them.
In a few weeks I'm getting a tattoo the heart/skull from the bartskull on my wrist, as a tribute to a truly great underrated band who gets far more shit than they deserve(not to throw a pity party, but I can relate to that) and to remember my pop-punk roots, where I came from, what helped to shape me into who I am today. It will go well with my Smiths tattoo. It's also sort of a symbol that love is a bitch.
